Excellency
We are writing to your honorable
self because we are in a desperate situation. As parents of the Melkonian
students from Iran, we are suffering since months about the future of our
children. AGBU is asking us not to send our children next year because they
will close the school after one year. What will happen to our children? They
are playing with their future. Is this acceptable to the Cyprus government?
We cannot accept any other solution. All our children must graduate from the
prestigious Melkonian Educational Institute with the school’s diploma. The
AGBU’s decision to close Melkonian is very sad for us Armenians in the
world. But to close it when our children have not finished their education,
is a crime.
Please, please help us. Only the
Cyprus government is strong to defend our children’s future.
