hello,
I hope the parents of current student would support us from all over the world, raise their voice, concern and sue AGBU as they are risking the future of the students. I'm sure they are making all sort of plans and scapegoats but fact remains that MEI is the pigeon that will be slaughtered to keep AGBU alive. All are after the lion's share. What has brought this change in AGBU no one knows and who ever knows has no courage enough to spill the beans and admit to the public that the public treasures are all for sale for the right price disregarding any sort of importance the subject at hand has. Whoever is in the CB has objection to selling and closing down MEI has lack of confidence and is probably threatened or whatever isn't able to convince that selling isn't an option. Does no one have any sense of belonging to their Armenian ethnic origin? (than again most of the CB members don't know a word in Armenian) Do they have titles and seats for nothing? Or has money gotten them to these chairs? Can't no one lift a finger from the board without any fear of the consequences and publicly object to this notion? Or have they bought the editors of newspapers as well? What's the worse case scenario? He or she won't be admitted to any AGBU institute? Would they lose public support? (as if they haven't) Does the world halt at AGBU? If AGBU CB members can't lead or can't rise above their hidden problems that are costing us our schools every where, I'm sure new candidates can. At least they would gain the trust of the public and any one who would like to donate money would at least know where and how wisely their donations are being used in the preserving of our culture and identity. I personally have no wealth to donate, but if any day i get wealthy enough, i would donate it directly to the school rather than letting the money go through the 3rd party, that being AGBU. I never thought this day would come and i would respond so, but frankly that's how I'm thinking, though I'm sure no CB member would care what you & I think!? Still, since there's no transparency into the AGBU that belongs to the PUBLIC and not to INDIVIDUALS, and since information goes in and doesn't come out, and that someone else is doing their talk; well ladies and gentlemen around the world; if you are a principal or president of any club run by AGBU your turns are next one by one. You will have someone like the one who's in MEI evaluating a history he doesn't know anything about, or doesn't care, since his doing his job; he's doing what he's been asked to do. Common reasons would be that AGBU would like to build a school in Armenia (as if there's lack of school there or fear of "tzouloum") or some global sports competition where they need funding( don't be surprised if it's held at a country who's currency is cheap) or they would like to build another school (in our dreams) ...a new AGBU club, (don't forget to buy the backgammon and the cards too)... forget it. Once MEI is sold, no one would know specifically how the money is going to be handled. Your simple silence is enough cut in the wound to know that when times are tough you don't stand up to what you believe and support a fellow school. An Institute one of a kind for that matter! I believe that if MEI goes, your schools and sports clubs, clubs etc. are next on the line. Remember that next time you hardly get any funding from AGBU for any event you are planning. Than again they may fund anything that might give them prestige, but no educational institute. Isn't there anyone who can show us which web site we can go to and study the laws that charity institutes have to abide in the United States? For Glory - some pay money, for Survival- people pay in sweat & blood. Please support in whatever way you can to stand against this global conspiracy that is breaking down the communities and threatening cultures and losing identities Dear all, i hope I'm wrong, and I'm a misjudging AGBU CB , its chapters...and every AGBU member who loves silence so much & maybe i misunderstood AGBU's noble mission; but after all this, I'm left with no choice but to believe that closing MEI is a step to down fall from the grace and glory that AGBU has in the public eye. Good luck to all Tal.
