Hi everybody
We had our last meeting on Friday Nov. 7 and decided that we will
immediately start on
a)advising all
the Melkoniantsis to start individual letters, contacts to AGBU and express
their dissatisfaction on the position of the AGBU with respect to MEI.
b)we will put the final declaration in "Abaka" and "Horizon" (both
Montreal based papers) and Lousapatz(Toronto based paper) and will try to
have something in the Armenian tv.
But we would like to have also the Armenian version. Has anybody
translated it? Let me know immediately. If I do not hear from you by
Monday we will arrange a translation and forward to you before we put
in the papers.
c)we are now looking into other ways of making our voice heard. Will let
you know.
I need to have the names and tel. nos etc. of the AGBU central board
members so that we will try to contact them personally. Ms. Latchinian or
whoever has it, can forward it to me. Garo I think you can do the same in
LA. I am sure you have personal contacts to some of them. Mr. Sinan Sinanian
has been my classmate and I will try to contact him.
We have a very good contact with Mr. Geondjian in Montreal and are working
on him.
Garo we heard from Ms. Maro Nercessian(she is in Canada for a short visit)
that an old Melkoniantsi with the name Cecil Keshisian has written and
article in LA few days ago and it is completely against our efforts. Can you
talk to her and understand what is her problem? Maro's advise is to work
hard on lobbying the AGBU central board members and try to win them on our
side before it is too late. We were planning to do that anyway.
I heard from Maro and other source that the son of the third Melkonian
brother has sent a tough warning to the AGBU not to sell the school and he
is ready to go to the court to stop it. Shavasb is this true? This could be
big boost to our efforts.
Also please note that we formed a three person group to work more closely
and take quick decisions on these matters.
The other two
are: Mr. Berge Ghorghorian(berge111@hotmail.com) and Alex
Artinian(alexartinian@rogers.com).
Best regards to you all
Hacik Tozdjian
